1. Product
simCAN is downloadable software for bench-testing CAN signal scenarios. It is sold as a software license, not as physical goods or professional engineering services. A no-credit-card trial may be offered for evaluation before purchase.
2. Pricing
The launch price is $499 USD for one perpetual, machine-bound simCAN app license through December 31, 2026. Beginning January 1, 2027, the regular price is planned to be $799 USD for future purchases. Prices may change for future purchases, upgrades, additional seats, support packages, or custom licensing.
3. Trial
The 7-day trial is full-featured, machine-bound, and limited to one trial per email address and Windows machine unless otherwise approved. Trial access may be refused, shortened, or ended for abuse, redistribution, or attempts to bypass licensing.
4. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect billing details, payment details, taxes, and fraud prevention information according to Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.
5. License delivery
After purchase, the buyer receives or is issued an activation key. simCAN can register that key to the authorized computer and install the signed perpetual machine-bound app license automatically. Manual email fulfillment may be used as a fallback.
6. Buyer responsibilities
- Use compatible Windows hardware and CAN adapter drivers.
- Confirm bench setup and CAN wiring before transmitting signals.
- Use simCAN only in accordance with the Software License Agreement.
- Do not use simCAN as the sole basis for road safety, regulatory compliance, or production release decisions.
7. Refunds
Refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy. Software activation, license delivery, hardware incompatibility, and misuse may affect refund eligibility.
8. Support
Support is provided according to the Support Policy. Paid support, custom development, integration work, or on-site services require separate written agreement.
