1. License grant
Subject to payment or approved trial activation and compliance with this agreement, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use simCAN on the authorized machine identified in the issued license file.
2. Machine-bound activation
simCAN licenses are tied to a Machine ID. Moving the software to another computer, virtual machine, or user environment may require a new license or written approval.
3. Trial licenses
A trial license is full-featured but time-limited, machine-bound, and intended only for evaluation. Trials may be limited to one per email address, company, person, or machine, and may be refused or terminated for abuse, redistribution, or attempts to bypass licensing.
4. Restrictions
- Do not copy, resell, sublicense, rent, lend, publish, or redistribute simCAN.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, bypass licensing, or remove protection notices except where applicable law expressly allows.
- Do not use simCAN to create unsafe test conditions or bypass required safety validation.
- Do not represent simCAN output as regulatory approval or production validation.
5. Ownership
simCAN, branding, documentation, and related materials remain the property of SimulatedSignals or the applicable rights holder. The license does not transfer ownership.
6. Updates
A purchased app license is perpetual for the authorized machine. Trial licenses expire on the date shown in the app. Updates, support periods, replacement activations, or major version upgrades may be provided at discretion and may require a separate purchase or support plan.
7. Engineering responsibility
You are responsible for your bench setup, CAN hardware, wiring, DBC data, scenarios, test procedures, safety reviews, and interpretation of results.
8. Termination
The license may terminate if you breach this agreement, attempt to bypass licensing, or redistribute the software without permission. Upon termination, you must stop using simCAN and remove unauthorized copies.
