Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

1. Bench tool only

simCAN is intended for bench development, engineering exploration, signal simulation, record, and playback workflows. It is not a safety certification tool, regulatory approval tool, autonomous driving validation tool, or replacement for qualified engineering review.

2. No safety guarantee

simCAN output, plots, recorded logs, and replay behavior do not guarantee vehicle safety, ADAS correctness, sensor accuracy, regulatory compliance, or real-world road behavior.

3. Output timing

simCAN supports scheduled CAN signal playback with live output measurement. Actual transmit rate depends on CAN adapter, driver/backend, bus load, and host timing. Use the built-in CAN output metric or an external bus analyzer to verify the target setup.

4. User responsibility

The user is responsible for CAN wiring, bus termination, adapter selection, driver setup, signal definitions, scenario contents, test environment safety, and interpretation of results.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SimulatedSignals and related parties are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or business interruption damages, including damages related to vehicles, test equipment, data loss, failed validation, missed schedules, or third-party claims.

6. Maximum liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, total liability for claims related to simCAN is limited to the amount paid for the affected license during the twelve months before the claim.
