simCAN CAN Scenario Starter Pack

What is included
----------------
- simCAN_CAN_Scenario_Starter.xlsx: a portable, ready-to-import CAN scenario.
- simcan_starter.dbc: the matching example DBC definition for reference and DBC workflow testing.

First run
---------
1. Keep both files together in a normal project folder.
2. Open simCAN and select Dry run.
3. Choose File > Import Excel Scenario and select the workbook.
4. Review the VehicleSpeed plot and validate the scenario.
5. Run it in Dry run before connecting any CAN hardware.

The sample generates a VehicleSpeed signal that rises from 0 to 50 km/h,
holds, and returns to zero over 12 seconds at a requested 20 Hz.

Why the workbook uses manual packing
------------------------------------
The included DBC defines the same frame and signal. The workbook intentionally
uses portable manual packing so it will import even if your DBC is stored at a
different absolute path. For a DBC-bound project, load your DBC in simCAN,
export a workbook, and edit its Points rows.

Safety
------
Use only on an isolated, approved bench. Dry run is simulated and does not
prove adapter, bus, receiver, or wire behavior. Confirm bitrate, channel,
termination, identifiers, and signal scaling before transmitting. Use an
external CAN analyzer when independent wire evidence is required.
